Chat with a character

Start chat

To start a chat with a character, go to the character’s page and click the “Start New Chat” button. In the window that opens, follow these steps:

1. Enable the “Encrypt Chat” option to activate encryption and protect the chat with a password.

2. In the “Choose Your Persona” section, select your persona — the role you will take in the conversation.

3. In the “Choose a Prompt” section, select the system prompt — it sets the character’s behavior and communication rules.

4. In the “First Message” section, choose which message to start the dialogue with, or leave it on a random selection.

5. In the “Choose AI Model” section, pick the recommended model. If needed, adjust its settings by clicking “Advanced Model Settings.”

If you wish, you can go to the “Recommended Model & Prompts” tab and choose different prompts and models instead of those suggested by the character’s creator.

Click “Start Chat” to begin the conversation.

Chat features

Chat top menu

1. — the window with the current chat’s memories. You can add entries manually — the model will treat them as real events in the dialogue history.

2. — selection of the system prompt, which defines the character’s behavior and style.

3. — model selection and configuration, including generation settings.

4. — privacy and visibility settings for the chat.

5. — voice selection for reading messages aloud in the chat.

Message actions

1. — copies the message text, including hidden characters.

2. — creates a new chat from the selected character’s reply; the original chat remains saved.

3. — edits your last message with the option to get a new response.

4. — regenerates the response with multiple options to choose from. Once one is selected, the others disappear.

5. — sends a report about the received message.

6. — reads the message aloud using the selected voice.

Chat bottom menu

1. — refreshes the list of suggested replies from the model. Useful if none of the current options fit.

2. — automatically generated replies suggested by the model as possible responses. Clicking a prompt creates an expanded reply based on it.

3. — sends your message to the chat.

4. — generates an image based on the current dialogue context.

5. — opens a window where you can adjust image generation settings.

6. — allows the model to continue the dialogue on its own, without your input.

Image generation settings

You can adjust the image generation settings in the chat to get a more precise result.

1. In the “Image Model” section, choose the image style — anime or realism.

2. Optionally, enter a brief description of the scene and characters in the “Prompt” field — this is not required.

3. Set how strongly the description from the “Prompt” will influence the final image.

4. Click “Generate with...” to start the generation.
